We’re Getting Married!
Elise Comello and David Buckingham invite you to our wedding weekend, Thursday 9/24 to Sunday 9/27, with a ceremony on Saturday 9/26, in Mauston, WI.
Overview
We will provide free lodging and meals for guests Thursday night through Sunday morning. The ceremony will be Saturday evening. Guests can come and go from the venue as they please. There will be optional activities at the venue and in the surrounding area.
Locations
Activities, meals, and the ceremony will take place at the main venue: The Great Escape Lodge and Castle Rock Ridge, located at W4066, W4040 Boaters Dream Dr, Mauston, WI 53948
Guests who want lodging will be assigned to one of these locations:
- “Easton House” (The Great Escape Lodge), located at w4066, W4040 Boaters Dream Dr.
- “Lulu House” (Castle Rock Ridge), located at W4078 Boaters Dream Dr.
- Cabins at the Castle Rock Hideway, located 0.5 miles from the venue. [map]

Parking
Parking is available at the venue, but will be near capacity on Saturday. Please share vehicles to make sure there is enough space for all guests.
Meals
The venue and the cabins have full kitchens with fridges: guests are invited to prepare and keep their own food.
The closest grocery store is Festival Foods in downtown Mauston. [map]
We will provide meals beginning with Thursday dinner and ending with Sunday breakfast. See the Itinerary schedule for details.
Coffee
- Coffee will be served with breakfast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Coffee makers with ground coffee are available at the venue.

Dress
There is no dress code. The bride and groom will dress comfortably throughout the weekend and dress up for the ceremony.
What to bring
- Shoes for grass
- Yoga mat
- Bring life vests for any children who will ride on the boat.
- Be prepared for cool or warm weather.
Rules
- The wedding is a safe, peaceful, progressive, feminist, and inclusive space. Do not say or do anything harmful.
- Some guests have severe allergies to synthetic fragrance: do not wear perfumes or scents.
- Per legal regulation and the venue’s policy, this four-day celebration will be alcohol-free. Do not bring or consume alcohol.
- Please monitor your children at all times.
- Wear a life vest while on the boat.
Venue details
Lake: The venue is located on beautiful Castle Rock Lake. Guests may access the lake at their own risk. There will be no lifeguard.
Boat: There will be a pontoon boat providing access to Castle Rock Lake and attractions such as Buckhorn Barrens State Natural Area. Anyone riding on the boat must wear a life vest. Adult life vests are provided: you must bring life vests for any children who will ride on the boat. The boat will be operated solely by a dedicated captain.
Security cameras: The venue maintains several plainly visible exterior security cameras.
Laundry: The venue has multiple laundry machines. We will provide detergent.
Childcare
There will be professional onsite childcare for part of the day on Saturday 9/26, including during the wedding ceremony. Please ensure that your children are monitored at all times.

Fundraiser
Our wedding weekend will feature a fundraising event giving guests the opportunity to support several important social causes.
